After growing up in Homer, New York, Sam attended the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. Upon graduation, Sam moved to Lake Placid to put his education to use, opening a bar/restaurant called P.J. O’Neill’s in time for the 1980 winter Olympics. Shortly after the Olympics, Sam sold P.J. O’Neill’s and moved to Syracuse where he started a printing business called Advanced Color Technologies.
After 20 years running ACT, Sam returned to what he loved, taking over the Skaneateles Bakery. He now lives in Skaneateles with his wife Sally. He has three children, one a sophomore in college and two recent graduates who are working in New York City. |
